Marketing inside the rules you practise under.
Doctors can't run hard-sell ads. So the system leads with teaching, and we check everything before it goes live.
Needs MAB (KKLIU) approval
Any ad offering healthcare services for treatment, prevention or diagnosis, including websites and social posts. The KKLIU number must show on every approved ad.
MOH charter: about 5 working days for most ads, 30 calendar days for a website.
Needs no approval
Educational articles and health messages that mention only the doctor's name, registered field and practice location. General clinic messages that name no specific service.
What we never put in your marketing.
- Before and after photos
- Testimonials about treatment, outcomes or the doctor's skill
- Comparisons with other clinics or other practitioners' prices
- Free treatment offers or gifts
- Words like best, only, painless or cheapest
For dentists
Dental marketing also follows the MDC Code of Professional Conduct and the Dental Act 2018. Only MDC-recognised qualifications are shown, and only registered specialists say specialist. We treat dental promotions as higher risk.
PDPA
Opt-in consent for marketing. Appointment reminders kept separate from promotions. An opt-out in every marketing message.
General information only. Not legal advice. Based on the MAB Guideline for Healthcare Facilities and Services as amended by LIU 1/2026, in force 5 June 2026.
